London singer/songwriter Nilüfer Yanya has an impressive ability to apply pop sensibilities to almost any genre, and the lead track from her freshly-announced new album PAINLESS is no exception. The guitar work on 'stabilise' sits somewhere between the intricate entanglements of Foals and the relentlessly dreamy musings of DIIV, leaning into the indie world, whilst retaining a propulsive yet softened drum and bass beat. Lyrically down to earth, Yanya explains: “I was really thinking about your surroundings and how much they influence or change your perception of things.
